Vancouver January 30th 2010 – Steel Productions, Edgewater Casino and Northern Star Events are pleased to announce, what is sure to be “the hidden gem” for arts and entertainment in downtown Vancouver, open to the public and free of charge during the winter sporting games and, at the legendary and now transformed Plaza of Nations!
17 days of all ages variety, over 100 local and touring bands, dozens of dancers and performing artists, a Chinese New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day celebration, over 500 performing artists in all, with some of Vancouver’s well known voice imaging and DJ talent, for what will be a non-stop, amazing outdoor winter festival on Vancouver’s best and most well known outdoor stage.
The Edgewater Celebration Village - Over 190,000 visitors per day are expected through the Edgewater Celebration Village and from Feb 12 – 28, visitors will be treated to more than just music, dance and performing arts, this event which runs Mon-Thurs 11am-11pm and Fri-Sun 12pm-12am, offers over 80 merchandising booths and over 40 food booths that serve a wide range of succulent ethnic foods with over 200 food items to choose from.
This is sure to be the “coolest” location in downtown Vancouver during the Olympics for visitors of all ages to mingle with friends, browse the vendors, dine and relax with a non-stop line up of entertainment!
No other festival in Vancouver can offer such a variety of musical acts like those that will hit the newly refurbished Plaza of Nations stage, from local independent recording acts to established touring bands, featuring Jazz, Blues, Rock, Hip Hop, Motown, Reggae, Country, Latin, RnB and much more.
